My test is inconclusive. What happens now?
Why is my test inconclusive?
It means your sample didn’t meet the requirements to be reported as a Positive result, but there was a partial signal from our test that the COVID-19 virus could be present in your system.
The UK government classifies an inconclusive test as 'unclear', alongside a failed test. Positive or unclear test results mean that unfortunately you can't travel.
Does this mean there was something wrong with the sample?
No, 'Inconclusive' is different. If the sample was insufficient or of poor quality, or couldn't be run by the lab for some reason, the result you see would show as 'Failed'.
